Marion Lindsay

My name is Marion and I'm a creative sort who has painted and drawn all sorts of weird and wonderful things over the years, but my great love is for storytelling, especially for children. So I am an illustrator and a writer of stories.

I have recently completed my MA in children's book illustration at Cambridge School of Art which amongst other things has helped me to really get in touch with the way I want to make pictures. The themes I have tended to explore in my work are those of fostering creativity and breaking down self-imposed barriers. The books I draw inspiration from always seem to have an element of the extraordinary taking place within an ordinary setting and this is something I like to happen in my work too.
